Joomeo easy-to-use photo sharing service offers in this newest version
more enhancements than ever before while preserving guiding principles that make its success.
The new left sidebar ? Simply efficient !
Collections and albums are merging to create the new Joomeo albums :
- Gather photos and videos from several albums by simple “drag and drop ” without consuming additional disk space! Organize all your albums into folders and subfolders combination by themes or classification that suits you best.
- Joomeo Intelligent albums let you easily manage and organize your photo library and automatically optimize the use of the disk space providing an easy, secure way to share memories!
- The contacts section of the sidebar disappears in favour of creating a real address book and a more effective sharing panel. New in this version the address book simplifies the process of creating a new contact by automatically generating the contact card from the email you filled.
- No more needs to rack your brains to find out passwords for your contact the application does for you (although you can at any time redefine the user name and password of your contacts if you desired).
- You can view your albums and slideshows online from the Internet, but also on iPhone or iPod Touch, on Net TV from Philips, or the wireless picture frames …
The panel for sharing photos has been redesigned and now offers 2 modes :
- A novice mode which act as an email client that allows you to enter the email addresses to the contact list (already known addresses are automatically completed) and to et the access rights you want to give for each guest.
- An advanced mode that allows you to choose the guest’s email from your address book and for each register guest you invite, to check the Download box or Upload box, accord the access rights you want to give.
The “Hubs” are becoming the section “My Network”
- This panel allows you to list and to directly access to Joomeo spaces belonging to family or friends who share photo albums with you..
- For each Joomeo space from the list, you can see directly the number of shared albums.
- Moving the mouse over an item in the list give you more information (date of your last visit, updates …)
- If you click on an item of the list you have direct access to the Joomeo space without having to login. The display of the shared album that is shared by this member is made in the central part and includes specific elements of presentation and layout of the selected Joomeo space.
And many other new features to discover :
- Support of IPTC data in digital photos which are directly stored in the database in your Joomeo Space. Now, if your photos were “tagged” by a digital photos software, legends and keywords are automatically imported from the IPTC data.
- Support of EXIF data
- Possibility to add a watermark to your digital photos for display in full screen slideshows and contact sheets.
- Support of HDTV 1080, HDTV and SD formats for display in full screen and slideshows.
- Improved Preferences panel
All of these enhancements, have been done to bring you an easy-to-use photo sharing service more comfort and efficiency.

The Joomeo guest space has been completely redesigned to offer to your visitors a better place to watch your photo.
It is now possible to customize your Joomeo space guest with a photo and a text of your choice.
During the programming part of this new space, we have allways keep in mind 3 priority :
It’s done now ! But that’s not all. The icing on the cake, with one click you can see the vision of your space by your Joomeo contacts. Nothing could be easier in this new version!
You prefer the old layout? We have kept it back, and you have the choice. All these new features are free and available to all. However, we booked the advanced customization feature to “infinite” account holders (see details)
The guest space isn’t the only one to have benefited from a facelift! Joomeo also, as a whole, benefited from important ergonomic improvements. REGISTRATION SIMPLIFIED Registration for the service was fully reviewed and corrected. Any new subscriber will only need a mail and a password to start using Joomeo, It couldn’t be easier! IMPROVEMENT OF THE INTERFACE Until now, Mac users could not use the wheel in the interface Joomeo. It’s now ready to use! We added a logout button, which will ensure that the person who uses your computer after you will not have access to your photo library.
We found that in many cases, publishing photos online is done by periods, very often after a special event (birthday, wedding, party, holidays, etc.). We therefore develop a ticketing system that empower you to your monthly quota. You can now buy, with this tickets, a right of publication available immediately for use in the month. Buying a ticket allows you to upload immediately an amount of pictures you want, whatever of your subscription (also works for free accounts). Now you can change the name of your space when you want from your profile page. This will also change your address access (URL) to your account. Of course, we give you the ability to automatically notify your guests of this change by mail!
Do you have any problems with the email address you use to access the service, feel free to change it directly from your Joomeo profile.
“RSS FEED”, this sentence phrase doesn’t tell you anything … This is an Internet technology which permit to receive a realtime flow of informations, including photos! For example, a digital photo frame connected to the Internet may well displays your Joomeo space photos using an RSS feed. That is exactly what we have achieved! You can now have an RSS feeds for each of your collections / albums on your Joomeo space, and use it wherever you want, on a digital photo frame, on your blog or your website.

Each month since its creation, Joomeo innovates. Always listening to our users on our forum (http://forum.joomeo.fr), here are the new features of Joomeo.
The great feature of September is the ability to organize its collections through folders. It is thus possible to create as many folders and subfolders as necessary. Each folder can contain as many collections of photos as desired.
This new functionality in conjunction with keywords and the search engine enhance the Joomeo photo library service.
We made a particular effort on the management of the contacts. It is now possible to sort by email (see the email contact in this case), firstname or lastname.
But also to make a quick search (Ex: I enter “mo” 
and automatically all contacts including “mo” appear) and finally we choose to restore the feature : sending a personalized message (via email) to a contact or a group of contacts.
The management of comments is now easier. From the Thumbnails plank, an icon to find out if a comment has been added to each photo. And to make things more interactive, it is now possible to add comments on a photo directly from the “Thumbnails plank” without needing to edit the photo.
Finally, we changed the film mode “edition” to make it easier to use with a classic lift.
